Mitra Hanjani, MD

Dr. Hanjani is the UPMC medical director. She is a board-certified internal medicine specialist and has over 20 years of experience in practicing medicine. Dr. Hanjani completed her residency at the University of North Carolina and fellowship at the University of Texas in Houston and has published numerous papers in the field of internal medicine, molecular biology as well as cardiology.

Peggy Smith, ARNP

Peggy has been dedicated to improving the health of the community since 1991. She provides care for people with emphasis on maximizing the overall quality of life. The services she provides include preventative medicine, health maintenance, elder care, chronic pain management and addiction management. Peggy is a graduate of University of Washington and Seattle Pacific University.

Ariel Carmichael, DNP, FNP

Dr. Carmichael earned her doctorate from Pacific Lutheran University. She is licensed in Washington State as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).

Before attending graduate school, she worked as a registered nurse specializing in cancer treatment. As an oncology certified nurse (OCN), she gained experience in both inpatient and outpatient care. With a firm belief that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, she now focuses on primary care, preventing and treating illnesses before patients require hospital care.
